Job Description

Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited, a renowned “AAA” rated specialized financial institution with a network of more than 500 branches across Pakistan, is inviting applications from experienced and challenge-oriented professionals.

ZTBL requires a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Head Liability Business at the VP, SVP-I or SVP level. The selected candidate will develop and implement deposit mobilization strategies, strengthen institutional relationships, improve branch performance and expand the bank’s liability portfolio.

Job Responsibilities

The selected Head Liability Business will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing deposit mobilization strategies aligned with the bank’s overall business plan.
• Training staff on sales processes and their implementation.
• Formulating innovative liability products and marketing campaigns tailored to different customer segments, including farmers, SMEs, corporate clients, retail customers and digital customers.
• Ensuring optimal product pricing, competitive positioning and profitability of the liability portfolio.
• Driving deposit growth across all 501 branches by setting regional and branch-level targets.
• Designing and implementing awareness and customer-engagement initiatives to attract low-cost deposits, including CASA, and long-term funds.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, institutional depositors and government organizations.
• Using digital channels and alternative delivery platforms to enhance deposit mobilization.
• Providing leadership, guidance and motivation to Regional Business Heads and Branch Managers.
• Monitoring branch performance and ensuring accountability through structured review mechanisms, including MIS, dashboards and KPIs.
• Ensuring compliance with SBP regulations, internal policies and liability-product standards.
• Maintaining oversight of deposit pricing, cost of funds and profitability metrics.
• Implementing effective risk-management practices in liability business operations.
• Performing any other tasks assigned by the management.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must have a minimum Bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institute or university.
• The applicant must possess at least 12 years of experience in a bank or financial institution.
• The applicant’s age must not exceed 50 years on the closing date.
