Who compiled the first major collection of Hadith known as Muwatta?

Explanation: Imam Malik bin Anas compiled the Muwatta in the 8th century making it one of the earliest surviving collections of Hadith. It focuses on the practices of the people of Madinah and contains approximately 1700 hadith. Imam Malik is also the founder of the Maliki school of Islamic jurisprudence one of the four major Sunni schools.
